Aeolian Mode

Essential for minor key compositions, the Aeolian mode (more commonly known as the natural minor scale) is often used for conveying sadness, tension, or introspection. With its darker, somber sound, the Aeolian mode is widely used in classical, pop, and film music.

The lesson breaks down the mode's structure, shows how to build it from the major scale, and provides visual examples on both the staff and keyboard.
